ANAMOSA, Iowa (KWWL) — St. Patrick Catholic Church is gathering to recollect the 2 employees who have been killed on the Anamosa State Penitentiary on Tuesday.
On Thursday evening, the church held a socially-distanced prayer vigil for registered nurse Lorena Shulte, 50, and corrections officer Robert McFarland, 46.
Seating was restricted contained in the church, so the parish posted a video of the service on Youtube. You’ll be able to watch it beneath.
The 2 inmates charged with killing Schulte and McFarland have been moved to the Iowa State Penitentiary in Fort Madison.
Michael Dutcher, 28, and Thomas Woodard, 39, made their first courtroom look over videoconference Thursday afternoon. Each are charged with two counts of first-degree homicide, tried homicide and second-degree kidnapping.
