City, suburban parishes pray for unity, racial healing – Catholic Philly

In a spirit of eucharistic unity by way of variety, St. John Chrysostom Parish in Wallingford, Delaware County welcomed 5 parishioners of St. Martin de Porres Parish in North Philadelphia on Sunday morning, March 14 led by their pastor, Father Stephen Thorne, who celebrated Mass for the mixed congregation. The Philadelphia friends are members of a singular partnership of the 2 archdiocesan parishes, the Joint Catholic Ministry on Racial Therapeutic. It consists of 5 members of every parish and their pastors, Father Thorne and Father Edward Hallinan of St. John’s, each of whom are mates. The same parish alternate befell in January as Father Hallinan celebrated Mass at St. Martin’s and introduced his parishioners there. Learn extra in regards to the work of the ministry here.
