St. Bernardine Parish in Forest Park and St. Luke Parish in River Forest can be united “as one parish with two worship websites, a brand new title, one pastor and one pastoral crew,” the archdiocese stated in a press release.
Father Stan Kuca will function pastor of the newly mixed parish, which has not but been named, the archdiocese stated.
The St. Luke web site will function the parish’s house base, and their can be no adjustments to the St. Luke faculty, the archdiocese stated.
The unification of the 2 parishes is the most recent in a collection of consolidations that the archdiocese has introduced as a part of the “Renew My Church” marketing campaign.
On Thursday, the archdiocese stated two parishes in Little Village can be united, constructing on a number of different consolidations on the South Facet and within the south suburbs.
