Lois Eileene Allmon Gleckler-Mang
Lois Eileene Allmon Gleckler-Mang, 82, of Punta Gorda, Florida, previously of Salem, Ohio, died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021, at Harbour Terrace, South Port Sq. in Port Charlotte, Florida.
Lois was born Sept. 7, 1938, in Columbiana, Ohio, the daughter of the late Russell and Ella (Blazvich) Allmon. She was a 1956 graduate of Fairfield Excessive Faculty, Columbiana, Ohio, and 1999 graduate of Stark State Faculty, Canton, Ohio. Lois was a Visible Motor Notion Therapist for the Salem Metropolis Colleges till 1986 and for numerous optometrists in Michigan and Ohio earlier than retiring in 2001. Lois was an avid gardener. She had been concerned with the Salem Backyard Membership as president/member, and with the backyard golf equipment in Hastings, Michigan and Louisville, Ohio. She tended to her huge gardens of paths, waterfalls and practice villages round her residence. She was a life member of Backyard Membership of Ohio. Being a really gifted seamstress, Lois sewed each of her daughter’s marriage ceremony clothes, designed curtains and lots of different clothes/ornamental tasks. Lois had been a head majorette in highschool and continued twirling a baton all through her life. She had been a Camp Fireplace Women group chief and relished in taking her “women” tenting and helping with their WoHeLo medallion achievement. She had loved dancing with the Sq. Wheels and the Nichols Price Western Sq. Dance golf equipment in Ohio. She designed stained glass artwork items by consignment and delight, displaying many all through her own residence. She was a member of the Isles Yacht Membership in Punta Gorda, taking part within the Islets and enjoying billiards. Lois was a member of the SW Florida Area Veteran Motor Automobile Membership of America. She displayed and drove her 1969 convertible Chevy Impala in parades and automotive exhibits. Lois additionally loved singing, boating and bike driving. Lois was a parishioner and previous choir member of St Paul’s Catholic Church, Salem, Ohio, St Louis Catholic Church, Louisville, Ohio and Sacred Coronary heart Catholic Church, Punta Gorda, Florida.
Along with her mother and father and siblings, Lois was preceded in loss of life by her first husband, Donald L. Gleckler whom she married July 27, 1957 and died Dec. 26, 1998; a daughter, Sheryl Gleckler-Duerring on Jan. 24, 2003; and a son, Mark B. Gleckler on Jan. 31, 2021.
She is survived by and will probably be missed by her loving husband, Robert L. Mang of Punta Gorda, whom she married Aug. 31, 2001; a daughter, Catherine (Michael) Hubbs of Marathon, Florida; grandchildren, Meagan (William)Ambacher of Vista, California, Hannah Gleckler of Fayetteville, Georgia, Matthew (Kassandra) Hubbs of Northwood, Ohio, and Mitchell (Madilyn) Hubbs of Marysville, Ohio; and great-grandchildren, Daniel, Mackenzie and Jayce; her surrogate AFS daughter, Mojgan Mohkber of Los Angeles, California; a niece/goddaughter, Linda Boyle of Marysville, Ohio; and different nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass celebrating Lois’ life will probably be held at a later date at Sacred Coronary heart Catholic Church in Punta Gorda.
Companies and interment will probably be held later in Ohio the place Lois will probably be buried beside her late husband, Donald, within the Columbiana Cemetery, Columbiana, Ohio.
